Is the Worm Turning?

Viewers dislike BBC wokery.

viewers were left fuming on Sunday night and within minutes many fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the episode. One branded the instalment “woke”, while another felt the content of the nature show resembled the children’s programme, Blue Peter.

During the hour-long programme, Sammi Kinghorn and Matt Baker took viewers to Newport Wetlands National Nature Reserve between the Severn Estuary and the River Usk, which is one of the best sites in the country to view birdlife, including starling murmurations.

In the Cotswolds, Adam Henson was visited by the vet for a thorough health check of his livestock, while Tom Heap investigated plans to drill for oil in a number of our most beautiful landscapes.

However, many unhappy viewers took to social media to share their thoughts, one fan fumed: “#CountryFile 30 seconds of watching is enough! Eco-warriors believing the #ClimateScam nonsense!”

There was a time when this would have been dismissed or not even reported. It seems that the other media outlets are smelling blood over at the BBC and it’s now open season. I am also hearing more climate scepticism being openly voiced. Maybe the Net Zero bullshit did have a benefit after all.

  1. As per my earlier post on the Nothing To See thread, younger people are starting to ask questions which I find encouraging. Then there was my other comment about heat pumps being inflicted on a school. The kids are getting first hand experience of the direct consequences of Net Zero crap which can only be a good thing.
