Claims that the atrocities of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant have “nothing to do with Islam” are harming efforts to confront and combat extremism, the Archbishop of Canterbury has insisted.
Religious leaders of all varieties must “stand up and take responsibility” for the actions of extremists who profess to follow their faith, the Most Rev Justin Welby said.
Well, there’s a turnout… And, yes, he’s right, ISIL/ISIS/Daesh, whatever you want to call them, is everything to do with Islam. This is Islam in the raw, just as Mo intended it to be, a warlike, conquering, intolerant, violent, misogynistic, evil death cult. Mo would have been proud of them. The peaceful types who don’t go around murdering and raping are little more than apostates and we all know what the penalty for that is…
And if you’re right, those peaceful Muslims no doubt despise us for thinking that they’re the ‘good Muslims’.
I think some of the “moderate” (especially the more Westernized) Muslims feel misunderstood and think that they are the victims. They are cultural rather than doctrinaire Muslims who don’t want to see or confront the evil nature of Islam.
Of course, they are in some ways very useful to the headcases. To the idiot Western appeasers they are the fluffy bunnies who make anti-Islam campaigners look mean and ease the way for the psychos.
Of course when the psychos reach a critical mass and really start slaughtering and oppressing non-Muslims the oh-so-friendly “moderate” Muslims will be keeping their heads down or joining in. Most of them sure as hell won’t be standing shoulder to shoulder with their infidel “friends” or even hiding them in attics.
Look at their own history. The sect was born from a bunch of thieves and robbers who preyed on trade caravans and local farmers.
