Peak Stupidity?

I dunno, have we reached peak stupidity? Every Monday morning, Peter Hitchens has been debating the current crisis on Talk Radio with Mike Graham and doing a grand job. He is one of the few voices of sanity left, frankly. However, when Hitch talks about the government paying us with fairy gold, Graham comes out with jaw dropping idiocy. The segment begins at 17:59.

I challenge you to listen without throwing your screen and keyboard out of the window. I came pretty close. The man is a fucking moron.
Fucking Hellski! The economy is absolutely fine because we can spend money even if it has been donated to us by the government. Cripes!

  1. Why does anyone need to go to work at all then? The government can just print lots of money, hand it out and we can all buy whatever we want with it. I can have a new Triumph. Oh, the dealership says that they have sold out and they aren’t getting any more in. He won’t tell me why.

  2. We pretend to work, you pretend to pay us as they soviets used to say.

They haven’t grasped the pretend to pay bit yet.

  3. I listened for a couple of minutes, but can’t take any more. A replacement laptop isn’t on the agenda at the moment…

    • The grooming gang rapists must remain with us since to send them back to a country where Covid19 is ‘worse’ than here is against their human rights so sayeth the Supreme Court lady judge whose name escapes me.

Apart from the immigrants in Greece, allowing people in from Ireland and France without the need to quarantine means allowing anybody else who can get into those countries from elsewhere. Not that it really matters, horse bolt door as they say.

Supreme Court Says Criminal Can’t Be Deported to Country with Worse Healthcare than UK
Justices including the top court’s infamous former president, Lady Hale, and two colleagues who also serve as ad hoc members of the European Court of Human Rights, agreed with a Zimbabwean migrant who should have been deported more than a decade ago that his removal would breach Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which states that “No-one shall be subjected to torture or inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment”.

The migrant’s lawyers cleverly reinterpreted this European article, understood by most to be a prohibition against physical torture and holding people in unsanitary conditions, as a right for his client to remain in Britain so long as his home country could not provide him with the same expensive, taxpayer-funded HIV medication as the British National Health Service (NHS) free of charge — and the Supreme Court concurred…

  4. Elon Musk put it best in his recent interview on the Jie Rogan show: “if you don’t produce stuff, then there’s no stuff”.

  5. Thanks for this segment longrider, I don’t have time for his 2 hour live shows. Graham is usually pretty sound (I really enjoy his Plank Of The Week) and he may be playing Devils Advocate with Peter which is much more interesting than two blokes agreeing with each other as per the BBC.

On the Ferguson thing what chance it was the Security Services that dug the dirt on him since Boris’n’Dom have realised he’s a charlatan and want as much distance from him as possible when the blame game gets going?

    • Why didn’t the ‘Security Services’ check out the dodgy profs model and program long ago? They have people who can do the technical evaluation, I am sure they could obtain a copy, covertly if needs be.

    • It’s possible that he was playing devil’s advocate, but I’m not sure it was needed in that instance. And for most of their discussions there has been a healthy discussion with disagreement, which has been refreshing. It’s just that those particular comments were staggeringly idiotic.
