Oh, Fuck Off!

Seriously, go stick it where the sun don’t shine.

A nationwide clap to thank the NHS will take place a week on Sunday, which is hoped to become an annual tradition.

Following the success of the weekly Clap for Carers, people will be encouraged to reflect on the heroes of the coronavirus pandemic with family and friends at 5pm on July 5 – the 72nd anniversary of the NHS.

Broadcasters will also suspend transmissions for a moment as a mark of respect.

On July 4, the evening before, people will be asked to put a light in their windows in remembrance of those lost to Covid-19.

Public buildings will also be lit up in blue for the NHS including the Royal Albert Hall, Blackpool Tower, the Shard and the Wembley Arch.

As is usual, tractor stats are up. Meanwhile, I presume that we are talking about this NHS. If you think I’m going to clap for an institution that made my late wife’s last few weeks more miserable than they might have been, you can fuck right off.

    • They always come in threes.

Stay Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives.

Black Lives Matter, Silence is Violence, Kill the Police.

      • I’ve long held that, in matters of this kind, most people don’t use their brains; they just join in when they like the tune.

There’s a vaguely familiar tang to the BLM one:

        WAR IS PEACE
        FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
        IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH

1984 is getting closer by the day.

  1. The daily new cases of Covid graph is now at 652, after five consecutive days of decline. It only takes account of people who have tested positive but presumably, if the numbers are coming from the same source each day, it should theoretically be a good way of judging the direction of the trend.

  2. Without going in to details, NHS protocols worsen the condition of Parkinsons sufferers. When a patient arrives at Hospital, standard NHS procedure is to withdraw all medication, then start again.
This is one of the worst things you can do to Parkinsons patients, the condition can be likened to a series of plateaus each progressively lower, with drawing medication is one of the things that worsens patient condition.
    This is standard NHS behaviour.
Another standard condition of Parkinsons is difficulty in swallowing, this is why standard NHS medication takes the form of large pills.
So – not exactly patient centred is it.
Its all about bureaucracy, people get in the way.

AFAIK, the occupation most at risk of Covid demise was taxi driver, not the sodding NHS worker.

  3. NHS repaid my mum for 40 yeas as a Staff Nurse by doing the one thing guaranteeing to give her hospital disease.

  4. All Outer Party Members are reminded that not taking part in this event is wrongthink and the Ministry of Love will be monitoring this even to ensure that counter revolutionary elements do not interfere. Members are reminded that this event is in addition to the doubleplus good event that is the two minute daily hate.
Party Members will be plusgood to know the Ministry of Love has arranged care facilities to treat those who may display symptoms of wrongthink.

Long Live the Party! Long Live Big Brother!

    (I’ll get my coat…)

  5. Well you know how it is… the internet enables certain people who have never achieved anything in their lives to use some virtue signalling to make them feel important and good about themselves…
