So the idiot Baroness Jones is doubling down on her insane and frankly nasty misandrist remarks.
A Green Party peer has defended calling for a 6pm curfew for men to make women feel safe at night – but clarified the suggestion was ‘not entirely serious’.
The Lords is a place for serious discussion. If she wants to engage in comedy, perhaps a pub or club might be more suited? No, she was serious, but is now having to defend herself from the entirely reasonable reaction her remarks garnered.
Today she doubled down, telling Sky News: ‘Nobody makes a fuss when the police suggest women stay at home, but when I suggest it, men are up in arms. You should see my inbox. It’s full of misogynistic and racist emails to me.
‘Men just don’t understand the pressure that women are under and if this has sparked intense scrutiny then I’m really happy.’
Bollocks, frankly. While I don’t condone sending abusive emails, I suspect that many of them are just critical of her nasty politics.
As for not understanding, I suggest that she tries speaking to fathers, sons, brothers, uncles. You know, men who are close to the women in their homes, whom they cherish and care about and are concerned for their safety. And then speak to the mothers, daughters and sisters of the men who have been murdered. The claim that we don’t understand is not only wrong, it is offensive and misandrist. As I said yesterday, this idiotic woman has no place in our legislature and she has just proved that to be the case.
The Met has issued general advice to women to stay safe – but stress it has not asked women to stay at home.
Seems fair to me. They often issue warnings to people about staying safe. I see that as part of their role in preventing crime. A bit like helping people with home security.

Once again we get stupidity, because she cannot differentiate between general advice about safety and victim blaming. The police are not victim blaming at all. Jones is lying here.

Because no one has suggested a blanket sex based curfew for women. Again, this woman is either stupid or mendacious. Both is a possibility. Either way, she should be removed from the Lords. She has no place being within a parsec of our legislative process.
As I mentioned over on Guy Fawkes yesterday, there’s some irony in the Green Party apparently being concerned about women’s safety.
In the period running up to their AGM, they’ve been booting out longstanding women members for having the temerity to say that women’s refuges and women’s prisons should be solely for women, and safe from cocks in frocks with a history of rape and violence against women who now ‘identify as women’. Others with similar views now bleating ‘concern’ for women’s safety include the awful Owen Jones, who is, quite rightly, being called out as a two-faced misogynistic shit by women with a genuine concern for their own safety.
When her house is burning down at 6.01 pm I hope there’s no firemen available, or male paramedics or policemen etc etc.
And how pray is she going to enforce this curfew? With female police officers?Most of whom dodge night shifts and leave them to the men.

As for Jones – you learn a lot by the company someone keeps and She was deputy to Ken Livingstone, until lockdown the most evil politician in Britain for probably 70 years.
Notice how Jones is playing the misogyny card? No, criticising a woman because she calls for a ludicrous curfew for men is not misogyny. It’s just criticising a ludicrous proposal that happens to have been suggested by a woman.
She even plays the race card when she says, “You should see my inbox. It’s full of misogynistic and racist emails to me.” What on earth is she talking about? I find it very hard to believe she’s received ‘racist’ emails given that she is white.
