Another One to Boycott

It seems that Nike is going down the same woke route as other corporations.

Nike today doubled down on using a transgender influencer to promote its female clothes, telling customers calling for a boycott to ‘be kind and inclusive’.

The firm’s tone-deaf response came amid women’s concerns over Dylan Mulvaney, who identifies as female but has not had reassignment surgery.

Mulvaney – who uses the pronouns she or they – was seen in paid social media content dancing in a Nike sports bra and leggings.

It sparked furious calls for a boycott, with Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies leading calls and customers deluging the company with complaints.

A reasonable reaction. I’m not sure why an organisation would want to attach itself to a narcissistic sociopath like Mulvaney anyway. This creature is an actor, acting. But besides that, his aping of women is entirely false. Women do not behave like a camp gay man. Indeed, I have never met a woman who behaves like this creature. Any rational person would find him creepy at best, stomach churningly sickening at worst.

Being kind and inclusive means accepting diversity of opinion. However, point out that Dylan Mulvaney is not – and never will be – a woman and see just how kind and diverse these people really are.

Today Nike issued its first response online, declaring it would delete comments it did not judge to be in a spirit of diversity or inclusivity.

My point is made, I think. And I will never buy a Nike product as long as I live.

And if you really fancy being creeped out, check out Jeffrey Marsh. Or not, if you prefer to keep the contents of your stomach inside.

  1. Just looked at images of Jeffrey Marsh. I know a couple of transgender men to women, very nice people, they make an effort to look good. But he is posting photos where he has 2 day stubble and lipstick. How can he say he’s a woman when he obviously doesn’t care about his appearance???

    • Jeffrey Marsh is more than that. He is trying to groom children. Indeed, his behaviour is the behaviour of a predator – if you watch his videos, he is trying to get children to go onto his private site and not let their parents know. Separating children from their guardians and keeping secrets is classic predatory behaviour. Nasty piece of work.

  2. If only there was a curated list of businesses that have gone woke so that people could make informed choices about using them or buying from them.

In plain English, they’re going to delete comments that are critical of the company. Like a lot of other companies, they think they are too big to fail. They’ve certainly gotten too big for their overpriced footwear.

  4. Dylan fucking Mulvanvey will get his comeuppance.

He has to keep going, to go further down the tranny route. To have the next surgery. To become “female”. His audience demands it, his desire for the audience approval won’t let him back out. He’s put it off with facial surgery, getting “feminized”. But eventually he will have to go the whole hog. Because he’s trying to sell it. Unlike Blair White who is more restrained, for example. He won’t be able to resist.

And then he’s bought himself a one way ticket to a life of misery and constant medication with regular surgery.
At which point, if I was mean, I would laugh. But since I’m not, I’ll just shrug and go with “play silly games, win silly prizes.”

  5. It’s really kicking off lately in the US over the whole transsexual business.

Of course, there was the Tennessee shooting at the school carried out by a transsexual (needless to say, Wikipedia refers to the perpetrator of the shooting as a ‘trans man’ – no, she was a woman, not a ‘trans man’). If you go by what the mainstream media are saying, the ‘far right’ and their ‘transphobia’ are to blame for that shooting. The woman who carried out the shooting is a victim and blameless, apparently.

Maybe you saw or read about the latest example of tranny activists in the US ‘being kind’. In San Francisco, the swimmer Riley Gaines was physically attacked by tranny activists, who (as I understand it) are not happy that only biological women should compete against other biological women in swimming events.

    • Yes, Riley Gaines, the woman who was beaten into second place by that cheat Lia Thomas. She is rightly making a fuss about it and the ‘be kind’ brigade respond with violence. There’s a video of her attempting to hold an interview in a library and the staff are kicking off in the background like spoiled children. Riley takes them to task admirably. It’s like a parent talking to a spoiled two year old.

It’s not just the US, though. Kellie-Jay Keen’s experience in New Zealand was the same – these people have no rational argument, so they resort to violence.

For your delectation, Matt Walsh responds with logic, reason and truth to this cretin who tries to argue that defining a woman is complicated. It isn’t.

  6. I’ve never understood why gullible people like to have a picture of an ugly slash on their kit, so advertising Nike stuff at no cost to them as producers, but making kids pay through the nose for the kit!

I guess that simple kids need to be seen to ‘identify’ with what they consider ‘style’, but that makes Nike’s ad all the more stupid.

  7. As I said over at Timmy’s with respect to this annoying little twerp:

There is a rumour that this whole thing with Dylan Mulvaney is just a prank / grift that has gotten out of hand and he is so far up to his ass in crocodiles that he can’t easily turn around and say “Err…just joking”

For example, he still has his meat and two veg, has no surgery planned (top or bottom) and what facial / neck procedures he’s had done haven’t substantially changed his appearance.

A bit like Grayson Perry without the personality, wit, talent or humour.

I’d boycott Nike, but that would require me to have ever been a customer. I must admit that I’ve never bought or worn anything of their’s, preferring Puma sneakers and the like.

Over priced tat really. Hopefully, “Go Woke Go Broke” still applies.

    • Budweiser is a cheap American pale lager. There aren’t many kinds of US pale lagers in the style of Bud that I would want to drink but there are some amazing pilseners (different style to US pale lager) from the US.

  8. Despite being a sporty fitness freak, I can’t boycott Nike either because I don’t buy their overpriced tat in the first place. Mostly I buy cheap stuff that serves my purposes well. There are some areas where you need to buy quality stuff, Asics running shoes, Aquasphere swimming goggles, Funky Trunks swimming shorts, Speedo tri suits. Generally the reason for paying more for stuff is that it lasts well and, in the long run, it actually works out cheaper. Whether Nike stuff qualifies here I can’t comment.
