Labour MP Dawn Butler has vowed to report online message board Mumsnet to the Metropolitan Police after users on the site and other social media slammed her reaction to the Brianna Ghey murder trial verdict.
The Brent Central MP, 54, said she would refer the message board to the authorities after she claimed to have received messages from ‘nasty, vicious, inhumane’ people criticising her suggestion that the teenager’s murder was driven by transphobia.
What is it about Labour MPs that seems to combine a lack of intellect with sheer nasty authoritarianism?
If this lackwit had actually been following the case and observed the evidence that came out, she would know that the perps had a list of potential victims, including four boys that had, for some reason or other, pissed them off. The ultimate victim just happened to draw the short straw. There was no evidence that this was anything to do with the fake mental illness of transphobia. None whatsoever, yet this cretin is reporting people for it, then complaining when she is called out on it, yet she is the one who is being nasty here.
After the teens were convicted, Ms Butler shared a video of Brianna’s father Peter Spooner outside court on X, formerly Twitter, claiming: ‘This cruel government has created so much hate towards the trans community they should be ashamed.’
Bollocks. No one has done any such thing. Any backlash against the tans lobby is entirely self inflicted due to incessant bad behaviour and accusations of ‘transphobia’ whenever anyone states biological truth. There is no such thing as transphobia and no one can change sex.
But the comments were seized upon by Mumsnet users who accused her of ‘crowbarring’ in ‘virtue signalling’.
The Mumsnetters are correct. That is exactly what she was doing.
Another added: ‘People criticised you for making wholly inappropriate remarks at the conclusion of a horrible murder case.
‘You do know that criticising politicians for their public utterances is not actually illegal?’
Again, correct. Dawn Butler is unfit to be an MP, but we knew that already.
I know the Tories also have a number of thick women MPs, but what is it about Labour and taking it to the extreme?
Dawn, Diane Abbot and Jess Phillips couldn’t manage to outwit a dead amoeba (for just a small sample).
She’s getting slaughtered on twitter but I suspect she will continue digging. Racism is going to be blamed anytime now.
Don’t forget this woman got away with lying about her interaction with the police last year and she never got her just desserts there.
