The Plan Comes to Fruition

This was always the plan.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Paul said: “For some vehicle owners, it could be time to reconsider the value of owning your own car compared to the costs of running the vehicle.

Of course. Some of us could see this coming. There is nothing natural about all of this – it has been decided politically to force us off the roads.

From time to time a politician has let the mask slip. They don’t want us having our own personal transport. They don’t want us travelling where we want, when we want. Our role is to shiver in our unheated hovels, grubbing a living where we are and be thankful for it. They hate us and they hate our independence. This is just one more step in that direction – along with the Net Zero insanity, the cessation of the ICE and even the loading of costs onto EVs.

I just wonder how long it will take for a critical mass of resistance to form. Sooner or later, those who are complacent will start to notice as it affects them. But will it all be too late? When will they realise that the conspiracy theorists of yesterday were really soothsayers.

Personally, I’ll be getting rid of my car. I hardly use it and can’t justify the cost. I’ll get a Watsonian GP and hitch it to a Moto Guzzi V7. Best and worst of both worlds.

  1. I think that I have my election slogan worked out. Anyone but Liblabcon but with a prefix for every shortcoming of those potential governments.

    E.G.
Want to keep your private car? Anyone but Liblabcon.

Want to be free to speak your mind? Anyone but Liblabcon.

Want to be able to heat your house?
    Anyone but Liblabcon.

    Etc.

  2. At the same time they’re telling everyone that EVs are The Future™, they’re busy shutting down all the power stations and – this was where the penny dropped for me – narrowing all the roads to eliminate parking spaces and create bike lanes.

They’re trying to turn every Western metropolis into Peking circa 1980.
