Still the scare stories keep coming.
More than 600,000 people will be invited for a Covid-19 booster jab next week as infection levels climb close to record highs in England, with 3.5 million likely to have had the virus in the week to March 19.
This is around one in 16 private households in the country.
The figure from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) is up from 2.7 million people, in the previous week and is the third week in a row that infections are estimated to have risen.
To which the appropriate response is “so what?” How many are seriously ill? How many are being hospitalised? How many are dying?”
According to the ONS, the steep rise in infections across much of the country is being driven by the Omicron BA.2 variant – a more transmissible form of Omicron.
Again, so what? This is much the same as the common cold. Do we panic when people get that? Nope. So no need to panic now. Yet still they cannot stop with the blatant scaremongering.
The percentage of people testing positive for Covid-19 in England has increased across all age groups and regions, the ONS found.
Then stop fucking testing.
There seem to be people who have made a rather comfortable living off the back of this disease. How surprising that those people want to keep the gravy train on the tracks as long as possible.
Meanwhile UKHSA says BA.2 is ~12% less virulent than BA.1

In UK, jab still seems to reduce death risk in some hospitalised cohorts. However, if you’re five times more likely to be infected seems to me risk of death is probably increased
